What can we say about this unusual young man?

Before becoming an author, he has spent time as an actor, janitor, magazine editor, veejay, gardener, unit publicist, roofer, music video producer, comedian, host of several TV shows, newspaper reporter, TV producer, director, screenwriter, poet, radio personality and house painter to name a few of his occupations.

As a celebrity interviewer, magazine editor and  rockumentarian, he has worked with hundreds of stars of film, TV, music and literature.

He has written and produced primetime television for the Fox Network, NBC, Showtime, Comedy Central, Black Entertainment Television and Disney, and latenight/daytime television for 20th Century Fox, Columbia Tri-Star, King World/CBS/Paramount and others.

As a journalist, Belma Johnson also has been published internationally by the Los Angeles Times and other newspapers, the Times syndicate and other news services. He has conducted interviews and written for three nationally syndicated radio specials.

He has written liner notes for 12 albums. He has contributed to two previously published books, "A Day in the Life of Hollywood" (Collins) and "The Motown Album" (St. Martin's Press). He has worked with a host of Motown legends, including Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, the Temptations and most recently Boyz II Men.

The great athletes he has interviewed or produced for television include: MVPs Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, Tiger Woods, Magic Johnson, Joe Montana, Wayne Gretzky and Emmitt Smith, and superstars Deion Sanders, Keyshawn Johnson, Ken Griffey Jr. and Andre Agassi.

He is a two-time collegiate national champion public speaker. As a motivational speaker, he has appeared more than 100 times coast to coast, in Canada and the U.S. Virgin Isles.
