Financial Empowerment Seminars
The Youth Councils of the NAACP will provide a valuable community service and raise funds for their operations by hosting a series of financial empowerment seminars, presented by Belma Johnson, author of "What Do You Dream?" (DreamBooks, 2001).
DREAMBOOKS PROVIDES:
Course materials for all seminar attendees
Inspirational instruction on how to formulate an entrepreneurial vision
Three-hour seminar on the following:
- Forming your business entity
- Starting a business with NO MONEY
- Importance of managing taxes
- Soliciting multi-million-dollar Corporate Sponsorship
According to the interests of a given audience, the instructor can provide insight into the following fields during the Q&A session:
- Publishing industry (books, magazines, newspapers or ezines)
- Acting profession (film or television)
- Writing profession (journalism, television, film, radio, songwriting, poetry, books)
- Television hosting profession
- How to make money at home
- How to make money while you sleep
- How to make your money work for you, instead of working for money
- Turning your hobby into a business
NAACP PROVIDES:
- Course materials collection
- Guaranteed minimum audience
- Space to make books and other materials available
